Sifers
Consultant
to law firm of Charles L. Sifers, P.C. on Field Sobriety
Tests & Intoxilyzer 5000 operation
Mr. Sifers has been certified
through American Legal Education (held at Emory University
in Atlanta, Georgia) as an operator on the Intoxilyzer
5000 since 1996. He has also obtained certifications as
an Administrator AND Trainer/Instructor of NHTSA Standardized
Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) in 1996 and 1997. He has
testified in administrative license revocation hearings
and has been recognized as an opinion witness in Oklahoma
County District Court. He has spoken on the topics of
SFSTs and/or the 5000 at every DUI related seminar for
attorneys in Oklahoma since 1997. He has been a consultant
to the Public Defender's Office in the Oklahoma County
District Court. Mr. Sifers is regularly contacted by attorneys
throughout the state for his suggestions and opinions
concerning their cases on these topics.
Mr. Sifers is a full time
consultant to Charles L. Sifers, P.C. Reviewing the facts
of almost every case the firm handles as to analyze any
weakness for the assigned attorney to use to his client's
advance, Mr. Sifers has been a consultant to one or more
of the lawyers in this firm since 1996 on the operation
of the Intoxilyzer 5000 (Oklahoma's breath test machine)
and/or Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. No other law
firm in Oklahoma has the benefit of the expertise in these
fields that Mr. Sifers brings to every case the firm represents.
