I am the only lawyer in Tulsa and 1 of only 2 in the entire state of Oklahoma who is Board Certified in DUI Defense under the American Bar Association rule set. There are only 33 lawyers who are acknowledged in the US. I am called upon a lot to train other lawyers about DUI Defense strategy. Attorneys from Oklahoma and other states refer complex cases to me and consult with me regarding their specific cases. I have been quoted in the Tulsa World and local television stations interview me for commentary and knowledge on current legal issues in OK.
I have gotten national training in all facets of DUI defense, which allows me to successfully defend my clients. This includes Certification in giving the standardized field sobriety test (SFST's) ---I like to refer to these tests as roadside gymnastic tests. I am also certified as a teacher of these SFST tests. What this means is, that I am allowed to teach the police officer how to ACCURATELY administer and evaluate the test. You gain an advantage from this training because I literally ‘know a lot more’ than the police officer and can cross-examine him successfully.
I am also certified under the U.S. Department of Transportation Guidelines through Florida International University in Administering the Intoxilyzer Breath Test. I am also Certified by the State of Oklahoma's Board Of Test - - the group that administers and supervises all breath testing in Oklahoma - as an Independent Breath Test Operator and furthermore Certified by the Board Of Tests as a Breath Test machine Maintenance Supervisor. I possess 5 Intoxilyzer breath test machines and also hold 3 different alcohol simulators at my law firm. This is the largest known collection of machines by a lawyer in the entire state of Oklahoma. What does this translate to? I am experienced in all means of attacking the creditability of your machine test results.
I am a knowledgeable trial lawyer in Oklahoma. A recent success involved a woman charged with 2 counts of first-degree manslaughter. She took a blood test that resulted in a blood-alcohol level of .21 - almost 3X the legal limit. With my expertise however, this woman was found not guilty. This demonstrates that I have the training and strategic skill set to most effectively represent you, but it is not a guarantee of success in any future cases.
